It is rare that you'll feel instantly at ease with someone you've just met, and that's exactly what happened when Viktoria entered my life. For quite some time, our ateliers were under the same roof, and even though Viktoria seemed reserved within group settings, she opened up when we spent time together, mostly over soggy sandwiches or fries—the quintessential food staples of late-night suburbia.
Growing up near the German city of Leipzig, Viktoria's background is rooted in fashion. Having worked as an embroidery designer in London, Viktoria found herself in Antwerp to study Jewelry Design at the Royal Academy, where she met her partner Tomo before settling down in the city and founding her eponymous label in 2019.
Made entirely by hand with the utmost detail and precision, her organic designs are bold yet playful. Viktoria is a true craftswoman who will make singular pieces upon request: whether customizing heirlooms or stone-setting your birthstone into a jewelry piece, don't let your imagination hold you back.
Just don't expect it to be done on Sundays, a stipulated day off at the von Malottki's, where their light-filled living room is enveloped by the sound of jazz, the smell of freshly-brewed coffee, local pastries, and the smile of their baby son Tao; who is fortunate to be on the receiving end of the same devotion, care, and love that she pours into her work.
